We were delighted to host the NHS Path to Excellence public consultation recently, which was launched on Wednesday 5 July at Hope Street Xchange. The consultation will run for 14 and a half weeks until Sunday 15 October, focusing on some areas of hospital care which are delivered at South Tyneside District Hospital and Sunderland Royal Hospital, including; stroke care services, maternity and women’s healthcare services, and urgent and emergency paediatric services.
Now one month into the consultation, they have already received over 1,000 comments from public events, which are being published on their website, and over 270 responses to their survey, calling for opinions on proposed changes to healthcare across the region. They would like to thank everyone who has responded so far and encourage more people to get involved and have their voices heard!
Alex Rodger said, “We picked Hope Street Xchange for the launch as it is a great location in Sunderland city centre for patients and the public to get to, with great public transport links and parking located outside.”
“So far we have had three events at Hope Street Xchange and with more planning for September and October currently underway this will likely be a venue we use again!”
We look forward to welcoming them back to our events spaces soon!
