Hope Street Xchange turns two today (13th February 2019) and we’re taking a look back at a fun-filled, successful second year as we say happy birthday Hope Street Xchange, Sunderland’s Centre for Enterprise & Innovation!
We’ve welcomed many new tenants through our doors and into our hearts this past year, including Uplift Associates, GRW Recruitment, Inka Publishing and Emily Charles Estates and Lettings.
This year also saw the University of Sunderland welcome new Vice-Chancellor Sir David Bell, who has attended numerous events at Hope Street Xchange and is always a pleasure to host. We’ve hosted an array of great events here over the past 12 months, including the second annual International Women’s Day event for Sunderland, which saw many inspirational business women take to the stage. It was such a privilege to celebrate this fantastic day that we’re delighted to say it’s returning for its third year to our dedicated events space. Register for your free place here.
Barista & Baker rolled up its shutters in our café and began serving the most delicious coffee and cakes in Sunderland (you can take our word for it!).
Across our second year we raised well over £2000 for good causes by holding bake sales, taking part in sponsored runs and through the charity box in our on-site cafe.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to all our wonderful tenants, staff, and visitors who have made our first two years so fantastic.
