Last Friday (17th November 2017) some brave and willing cyclists took part in a sponsored Bikeathon at Hope Street Xchange to raise money for Children in Need. We aimed to cycle for non-stop for 8 hours for a total distance of 120 miles, the equivalent of Sunderland to Edinburgh, and raise as much as possible in the process!
The day kicked off at 9am with Derek from Industrial Switchgear Services, one of Hope Street Xchange’s first ever tenants. Followed by Helen and Andrew from JB Contract Services (not at the same time!!), our centre manager Rebecca, team members Michelle, Michael and James, a real-life paratrooper, Ian Farrar from Far North, Jenny Cox from The Enterprise Place, Jonny Emerson a colleague from our London campus, and last (but definitely not least!) Ken from our Business Development team.
Thanks to the hard work and determination of everyone above, and many wonderful sponsors we raised a staggering £458 for Children in Need! We also cycled a whopping 178 miles, smashing our target and ending up well past Edinburgh. Huge thank you to all of our superstar cyclists and everyone who gave so generously!
